GWYN EDWARD CALFEE

Gwyn Edward Calfee, age 95, went to meet his Savior on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his home on Valley Home Rd, White Pine. He was the son of John and Elizabeth “Granny” Calfee. Gwyn, a retired well driller and World War II veteran, was a member of and deacon of White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Morristown. He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his six children, Margaret Brooks Calfee, by Virgie Kilgore Calfee and Grace Myers Calfee, his son John Edmund Calfee and brothers, Robert of Morristown and Frank (Doodle) of Trafford, AL. He is survived by his daughter, Ginger Calfee Stegall (Rick) of Dandridge, sons, Jerry Calfee (Debbie) of Morristown, Tony Calfee (Linda) of Rogers, TX, Danny Calfee (Tracie) of Morristown, and James Calfee (Shirley) of White Pine, sister Mildred Hale of Karns, also he is survived by eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Gwyn was one of the founding members of the Jefferson County Gideon Camp and was an active member until the time of his death. It was his wishes that In Lieu of Flowers any Memorials be made to Gideons International, Jefferson County Camp, Attention Larry Baumgardner, 1044 Fate Rankin Rd, Jefferson City, TN 37760. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018, 7:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine, with the Rev. Tom Wells officiating, family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service. Military Graveside Interment will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens on Saturday, December 15, 2018, 10:00am
