Stay Strong, Stay Healthy

One of the best ways to keep your body and mind functioning at their best is to exercise. Regular participation in strengthening exercises can help build muscle and increase bone density, which prevents frailty and osteoporosis.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an eight-week exercise program that meets twice a week for one-hour classes. The program is to improve participant health and quality of life. Each hour-long class includes- warm up exercises, easy strengthening exercises, with or without weights, and cool-down stretches.

  • No membership required
  • No special clothes or equipment needed- weights are provided!
  • The exercises are easy to learn, safe and effective.

Classes will be held at the New Market Senior Center and the Strawberry Plains Senior Center. Anyone 50+ years old is invited to attend Stay Strong, Stay Healthy.

New Market Senior Center will start March 4 – April 25, every Monday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m.

Strawberry Plains Senior Center will start April 3-May 24. Every Wednesday and Friday, 1:30 p.m.

You must call the Extension office at 397-2969 to register. There is a limit of eight per class.
