A Chili Weekend

Staying warm with all you can eat with chili.

What a wonderful way to stay warm while putting your money toward great local causes! The New Market Masonic Lodge #246 hosted a fundraiser this past weekend and will donate the proceeds to local youth in need. The lodge host events such as the all you can eat chili supper as well as a Bar Be Queue dinner in July to raise funds for these charities.

The charities that benefit from their efforts include the scholar ship fund for local high school students. Lack of footwear is an issue that not many charities tackle; gratefully the Masonic Lodge is one of the few who do. Proceeds will help to supply local children in poverty with a pair of shoes and socks before the school year begins. The Rainbow Girls were assisting today with the chili dinner and they are also currently collecting the tops off soda cans for the Ronald McDonalds House.
