Principal Tommy Arnold Hired As Supervisor Of Federal Programs

Mr. Tommy Arnold has been hired as the Supervisor of Federal Programs for Jefferson County Schools. Mr. Arnold will be a support in other programs as well, with his primary focus on federal programs.

“We are excited to have Mr. Arnold in this position. I am confident that his years of service and the experiences gained as an educator and administrator in this system will provide key skills needed to work with all the schools and administrators. Additionally, his skill set will be a resource for our administrators, students, and schools in managing the requirements associated with federal funding.”

Currently, Mrs. Sherry Finchum is the Superintendent Designee, Supervisor of Federal Programs, Supervisor of Elementary Education, and works in multiple other areas of the district. Mrs. Finchum will remain in her other roles and serve as the mentor for the new supervisor.

“Mr. Arnold has been a well-respected administrator in our school system and I know he will be missed at Dandridge Elementary School. Our staff will work over the next several weeks and hope to name a new principal at Dandridge sometime in April.”

Mr. Arnold and the new principal at Dandridge Elementary School will begin their new duties on July 1, 2019.
