Dandridge Named 2019 Champions for WIVK “Battle of the ‘Burbs”

Knoxville radio station 107.7 WIVK held an online contest they deemed the “Battle of the ‘Burbs”, which consisted of local communities competing against each other in a March Madness style bracket. The competition, held on Facebook, was decided by listeners who voted for each town for several days, in which Dandridge came out on top.

To celebrate the win, WIVK morning personalities Tony and Kris did a live on location broadcast Monday morning that featured local personalities such as Tinsley – Bible’s own “Miss Peggy”, Jefferson County Historian Bob Jarnigan, Pro Angler Ott DeFoe, and other local personalities.

The live remote brought dozens from the community to celebrate the win, and to invite people to come out and enjoy the second oldest town in Tennessee.
