Leadership in place at White Pine School, Jefferson Middle School and Maury Middle School for the 2019/20 School Year

The Jefferson County Department of Education has released the names of those that will be filling the position of Assistant Principal for three local schools. Following the retirement of the Principals for White Pine School and Jefferson Middle School, as well as the promotion of Dandridge Elementary School’s Principal Tommy Arnold, three current Assistant Principals were promoted leaving a three position deficit of Assistant Principals. Director of Jefferson County Schools Johnston has announced the names of those that will be filling the vacant Assistant Principals positions.

Joining new Principal Angie Rogers at White Pine School will be Ben Willings as Assistant Principal. Jessi Underwood will be the second in charge at Jefferson Middle School, with new Principal Kevin Cline at the helm. Returning Principal for Maury Middle School, Michelle Walker, will welcome Deborah Scarlett as her new Assistant Principal.

Director Johnston said of the recent changes “ We are excited to see these three assistant principals join the recently named principals in order to form administrative teams that we are confident can provide strong instructional leadership.”
