Parrott-Wood Memorial Library (3133 W. Old A.J. Hwy., Strawberry Plains, TN 37871) is proud to announce their Basic Computer Classes a success. Donna Phillips, Director would like to congratulate her students for completing the course. The next scheduled classes will include Basic Computers 101 and Intermediate Classes. Basic Computers 101 (Registration Required)

Mondays at 3:00-5:00 pm

June 10th, 17th, July 8th, 15th

Class 1
Topics Include:  Introduction to Computer Basics:  Using Windows, Browsing the Internet Safely.  Basics of Using Microsoft Word.  

Class 2
Topics Include: Microsoft Word – Part 2:  Work on More Advanced Projects in Word.  Learn about advanced features and shortcuts. Introduction to Excel Spreadsheets.

Class 3
Topics Include:  Using Email Effectively. Navigating the Internet – Part 2 How to Research, Setup Email Learn the Basics of Using Social Media to Connect with Friends and Family Safely.

Class 4
Topics Include:  Research on the Internet.  Projects can include researching family genealogy, Job searching, Writing Your Resume.  Social Media and Security Revisited.

Intermediate Computer Classes (Registration Required)

Tuesdays at 3:00-5:00 pm
