Assistant District Attorney S. Joanne (Ogle) Sheldon Receives President’s Award at 2019 District Attorneys General Conference

District Attorney General James B. Dunn is proud to announce that Assistant District Attorney S. Joanne (Ogle) Sheldon received the President’s Award at the 2019 District Attorneys General Conference. The award was presented by Conference President, District Attorney General Dave S. Clark and is given in recognition of exceptional service to the Criminal Justice System of Tennessee, the TN District Attorneys General Conference, and the citizens we serve. ADA Sheldon is a 1989 graduate of Sevier County High School, 1997 graduate of Carson Newman College, 2000 graduate of UT Law School, and will graduate in the fall of 2020 from the University of Southern California with a Master of Arts in Gerontology. In addition to her caseload in Cocke County Circuit Court, ADA Sheldon heads the Elder Abuse Unit for the 4th Judicial District. Her passionate prosecution of Elder Abuse cases, and involvement with various organizations including Tennessee Federation for Aging and East TN Elder Justice Coalition were among the many reasons why she was chosen for this prestigious award.
