Friday evening was a special night for several Jefferson County High School Patriots as they were honored on Senior Night. Family and Friends crowded into the high school gym to share in the recognition of student winter athletes in the Class of 2013. Senior dancer, cheerleaders, wrestlers, swimmers and basketball players were all part of the event, which is a companion to the fall sports Senior recognition earlier this year. Friday night was the final home basketball game for the Class of 2013, though not the final game of the season. Student athletes dedicate a great deal of time and energy to their respective sports and family support is instrumental in a student’s athletic success. The recognition of the Senior’s commitment to the athletic program at Jefferson County High School and their representation of Jefferson County as a member of various teams was a fitting farewell as the Class of 2013 comes to the end of their athletic career at JCHS and looks toward graduation.
