INVITATION TO BID

Notice is hereby given that Jefferson County (owner) will be accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for access panel replacement for the Jefferson county workhouse located at 983 Industrial Park Road, Dandridge, TN. The owner will receive sealed bids on December 31, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. eastern time at the Jefferson county finance department, 1244 gay street, Dandridge, TN. Bids will then be opened and tabulated. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. will be returned unopened.

The bids shall be submitted on the bid form furnished with the bid documents.

The bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to the owner for not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price, or the bid will be rejected.

The bids shall be delivered in a sealed envelope showing the bidder’s name and address, project name, and other information as called for in the instructions to bidders. In order to be considered, the bidder’s licensing information must appear on the outside of the bid envelope, including valid contractor’s license number; expiration date of license; classification and limitation applying to the bid. Otherwise, the bid is not to be opened or considered. This applies to all bids exceeding $25,000. For further clarification, please review the statute, Tennessee code annotated (t.c.a.) 62-6-119.

The bids shall be submitted in accordance with this notice and the instructions to bidders as set out in the bid documents.

Bids shall be received for Jefferson county workhouse access panels.

The execution shall be in full accord with this notice, bid documents, and any and all addenda on file at the Jefferson County finance office.

The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids, and to waive any informalities or errors in bidding, for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening.

Should a successful bidder withdraw his or her bid or fail to execute a satisfactory contract, the owner may declare the bid deposit forfeited as liquidated damages.
