Bids are invited for General Contract for the work of the following project.

Gymnasium Floor Replacement For:

Maury Middle School

Jefferson County, Tennessee

Bid Documents will be available to Bidders from the Designer after 9:00 AM, Eastern Time, Thursday, February 20, 2020.  Requests may be sent by email to the attention of:

Bidders may request electronic copies of Bid Documents in *.pdf format, and will receive subsequent addendums from the Designer prior to the Bid Date.  All printing cost will be the responsibility of the Bidder.

Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to the Bid Date. Bidders are required to sign in and out at the main office at the school.

Substantial Completion of all work must be achieved no later than Wednesday, July 15, 2020. The intent is to allow the Contractor’s on-site mobilization to begin on Monday, May 25, 2020.

BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN A SEALED ENVELOPE

Include with each bid, Bid Security in the amount equal to five percent of the total of the Bid, payable to Jefferson County Finance Department in the form of (1) a certified check or cashier’s check or (2) a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of the State of Tennessee to execute such Bonds.

Bidders bidding $25,000.00 or more must be licensed per state law. Five percent (5%) Bid Security is required. Non-Discrimination policy applies.

Bidders must furnish proof of a minimum of $1,000,000 insurance for bodily injury, property damage and Workman’s Compensation before bid will be awarded.

Each Bidder must be appropriately licensed as a Contractor in the State of Tennessee as provided in T.C.A. 62-6-101. Complete all blanks on the bid envelope provided, otherwise, the Bid will not be opened.

Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bid proposals and to waive all informalities. A conditional or qualified bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest responsive Bidder.
