First Case Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Jefferson County, TN

The Tennessee Department of Heath released information today that Jefferson County, Tennessee has its first citizen that has tested positive for Covid-19 or, as it is more popularly known, the Coronavirus. While privacy policies prevent the identification of the Jefferson County resident, it has been confirmed that he/she is a retired international traveler and it is suspected that the virus was contracted while on a trip out of the United States. Presently, the individual is under home quarantine. Specifics regarding the circumstances surrounding the identification of the positive test for Coronavirus have not been released. The Department of Health is in the process of conducting a trace investigation to identify who the infected individual may have come in contact with before testing positive. At this time it is believed that he/she has not come in contact with any school age children.
