Tennessee Business Spotlight Promotes Businesses in Counties Named for U.S. Presidents

In February, we celebrate President’s Day. So this month’s Tennessee Business Spotlight highlights businesses in each of the seven Tennessee counties named after United States presidents.

Tennessee Business Spotlight is a feature on the Secretary of State’s web site that showcases some of the state’s businesses that create jobs, produce quality products and give back to their local communities. People visiting the Tennessee Business Spotlight web page can learn about the selected companies’ goods and services, operations, employment figures, photos and links to web and social media sites that provide more information.

The companies showcased in February are:

  • Blooming Idiots Farm in Bloomington Springs (Jackson County)
  • Bryant Boats in Sweetwater (Monroe County)
  • Bush Brothers & Company in Dandridge (Jefferson County)
  • EATON Corporation in Gainesboro (Jackson County)
  • Mullican Flooring in Johnson City (Washington County)
  • Sunkote Plastic Coating Corporation in Spencer (Van Buren County)
  • TBDN Tennessee Company in Jackson (Madison County)
  • Whitewater Aviation Corporation in Copper Hill (Polk County)

“I hope Tennesseans will take some time this month to reflect on our former presidents and the ways in which these leaders helped make our country the great place that it is today,” Secretary of State Tre Hargett said. “Highlighting businesses located in counties named after presidents in Tennessee Business Spotlight is a great way to commemorate President’s Day.”
