Local author Melissa Drinnon Peagler was on site at Rachel’s Attic Antiques and Collectables and Dandridge General Store on Saturday to pen her name to copies of her newest installment in her Lost Creek Saga book series. Lost Creek Rising is Peagler’s sophomore literary offering and has been highly anticipated by fans of the debut book in the series Lost  Creek Saga.  Peagler’s books have found a strong audience in the area and, though they are geared to the middle reader, have an adult following as well. Quaker Valley reads well in Peagler’s books, which are contemporary stories that are riddled with teenage angst and intrigue- much in the order of other popular “tween’ and teen series that have had recent success. Residents came out on Saturday to meet the author and purchase a signed copy of the book. Despite the less than perfect weather, Saturday’s stop on Peagler’s signing tour was very well received, highlighting the anticipation that surrounded the debut of her second book. Those that missed Melissa can catch up with her on another signing date or purchase directly from her website www.melissapeagler.com
