Signing Day Preview

all-volsSigning day for college football is on Wednesday, and the Vols are trying to restock their roster.  Despite their late start, Coach Butch Jones and his new staff have already made waves recruiting.  Their most notable prize is wide receiver Marquez North out of North Carolina.  North is ranked as one of the best two or three receivers in the country.  At 6’3” and 220 pounds, he has the size to cause matchup problems, and his 4.4 forty speed is the kind of pop needed to replace last season’s stars who are now on to the NFL.  Getting North was huge for Coach Jones, but more await.  Several Tennessee prospects are announcing Wednesday.  Here are a few to watch.

Vonn Bell – Bell is a five star defensive back.  The Vols look good here, but Alabama and Ohio State aren’t giving up.

E. J. Levenberry – The linebacker is committed to FSU, but a switch to orange is very possible.  He is a top 150 player.

Jaylen Miller – Miller is a defensive lineman, and you can never have enough of them. The Vols are in a very good spot for the Carolina native.

Johnathon Ford – Ford is a dynamic running back who was at one time a Vandy commit.  Don’t hold that against him.  Ford can play and the Vols are hoping to beat the home state Auburn Tigers for the Alabama native.
