Mossy Creek Mini Golf To Host 2022, USPMGA US Open. $15,000 Cash Purse Event

Mossy Creek Mini Golf in Jefferson City, Tennessee has been selected to host USPMGA Professional Mini Golf event in 2022

The United States Pro Mini Golf Association was established in 1997 and currently has over a hundred professional players. USPMGA hosts two major events each year.

Photo: Matt Finley, resident of Dandridge, tied the course record in a recent local tournament at Mossy Creek Mini Golf in his preparation for the 2020 Tennessee Pro Mini Golf Open being held on August 29.

The Master’s of Pro Mini Golf is held in Myrtle Beach, SC each October and the USPMGA US Open is held at different sites around the country. In 2021, the US Open will be held in Pennsylvania. Mossy Creek Mini Golf will be hosting the 2022, USPMGA US Open. The cash purse for the event is $15,000.

Anyone can become a member of the USPMGA and compete in the events! We have several local players that have already registered to compete this season.

Mossy Creek Mini Golf will be hosting a regional USPMGA event, the Tennessee Pro Mini Golf Open, on August 29, 2020. The cost to enter is $55 for the six round competition. The cash purse for the event is $2000. The top 16 players in the event qualify for The Smoky Mountain Match play that will be held the next day August 30.

Kyle Cutshaw, Owner of Mossy Creek Mini Golf told the Jefferson County Post “he wants to encourage everyone to get out for some outdoor fun and play some mini golf.” The course has created a safe and convenient environment during the Covid-19 pandemic with safe distancing and sanitation rules and guidelines.

The clubhouse is currently closed for the time being. All check-ins are being done outside.on the deck.

Players may bring their own ball and putter. Equipment is available to be checked out. All equipment is being disinfected after each use.

Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available for customers.

The CDC recommends wearing a face covering around others.

Groups are limited to 6 or less per hole. Additional measures are being taken to help promote social distancing.
