Lakeway Christian Academy Announces New Men’s Soccer Coach

Greg Evans, Lakeway Christian Academy Men’s Soccer Coach

Lakeway Christian Schools has announced Greg Evans as the Men’s Soccer Coach for Lakeway Christian Academy. Evans born and raised in Wales, United Kingdom, has played for various soccer clubs in both Wales and England throughout his youth career. He played for a professional youth academy in Wales where they won the North Wales Professional development league. He most recently played soccer at Carson-Newman, where he arrived in 2016. He has played for Carson Newman for five seasons, serving as the team captain for the last three years. While captain, Evans and team won two SAC conference regular season conferences. He graduated from Carson-Newman with my bachelor’s in physical education and a master’s degree in Marketing Business Administration.

“Greg Evans is an exceptional young man. He will provide a good and Godly example to Lakeway students,” says Charles Fowler, President of Carson-Newman University, “He will invest himself in his student to not only achieve success on the field of competition but more importantly to encourage and equip their growth as Godly men and women.”

For the last four years Evans has coached at Lakeway Soccer Club beginning with the younger athletes. In the last two years of coaching at Lakeway Soccer Club, he began coaching the boys high school age group and went to the state tournament twice.

Evans will serve as the Men’s Head Soccer Coach and join the Lakeway Christian Academy faculty in January 2022.
