April Is Walk At Work Month

April is Walk at Work Month and to kick off our State of Tennessee observation Jeanne Beffrey, the Health Educator at the Jefferson County Health Department,  Sarah Vaden, from the UT Extension office, and the County Major’s Office want to invite you to join us at “Walk at Work” on April 6th, at 11 am.  We will meet on the Court House steps, walk across the Warren bridge and back, then across the Dyke and return (approximately .75 of a mile).  Studies have shown that walking for thirty to sixty minutes per day can drastically improve your health and even help prevent ailments such as type II diabetes, cancer, and heart disease!  We would like to encourage everyone to celebrate “Walk at Work Month” and enjoy the easiest way to be the healthiest version of you.
