Tennova Healthcare To Stage Emergency Response Training Exercise, September 8, 2022

Tennova Healthcare will stage an emergency response training EXERCISE on September 8th that will involve numerous emergency units responding to the scene and participating that may include the Jefferson City Policy Department, Jefferson City Fire Department, Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency, Hamblen County Emergency Management Agency, Knox County Healthcare Coalition and Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services.

This realistic emergency response training EXERCISE is being coordinated by Tennova Healthcare and will involve the health system’s Jefferson Memorial Hospital. In addition to the Emergency Department, other hospital departments will also participate in the DRILL including the Health and Rehab Center, Admitting/Registration, Engineering, Environmental Services, Imaging/Radiology, Inpatient Units, Rural Health Clinics, and Laboratory Services.

Emergency preparedness is a top priority for Tennova Healthcare. At least two DRILLS are held at each facility every year. Each hospital has a detailed emergency response plan, developed by crisis management experts to help medical teams prepare for mass casualty and other emergency events.
