Potential Bomb Threat At White Pine School Thursday – Statement of Situation from Jefferson County Schools

Statement on situation from Jefferson County Schools, Michelle Walker, Supervisor of Secondary Education and Assessment

Around 2:30 today, prior to dismissal, White Pine School administrators were notified of a potential bomb threat. Out of an abundance of caution, students were evacuated to a safe location where they were dismissed by first by bus and then by car riders. The Sheriff’s department was on the scene quickly and began an immediate investigation. Parents, students, and staff did a wonderful job working together with law enforcement and the Jefferson County Schools team. We appreciate your patience and understanding through this process.
