Author Adam H. Alfrey’s “The Great Smoky Mountains” Book Signing, Feb 23, 2013

Great Smoky Mountain National Park Book SigningJoin author Adam H. Alfrey for a signing of his recently launched book The Great Smoky Mountains. Mr. Alfrey will be signing books on February 23, from 1 to 4 PM in the gallery shared by Rachel’s Attic Antiques & Collectibles and Dandridge General Store. Light refreshments will be served. This book is part of a postcard history series and chronicles the birth and life of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park through postcards. Many of the images in the book are of Real Photo postcards which are part of public and private collections.

The book cover sums it well . . . “Adam H. Alfrey, curator of exhibitions at the East Tennessee History Center, illustrates how a rallying cry for preservation, pleasure, and profit sustained a successful grassroots campaign to create Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited national park in the United States.” Get an author autographed book and see how the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has changed over time.
