Brent Michael Bennett obituary 02242013BRENT MICHAEL BENNETT, age 27, of Morristown, TN was called by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 22, 2013 to enter into his eternal home in Heaven. He is survived on earth by his wife, Megan, parents Judy and Denver; brother, Austin; mother and father-in-law, Phyllis and Curtis Baker, and a host of family and friends. Brent grew up in First Presbyterian Church and later became a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was called to be a youth minister. Brent was a student at Walters State and a graduate of ETSU with a B.S. degree in Human Developement and Learning. Brent was a teaching facilitator at Douglas Cherokee where he taught classes at Meadowview and Lincoln Heights middle schools. He viewed this work as more than a job, he cared for every student he taught. Brent was the perfect, most loving husband and most precious son. Brent was a man of God and a prayer warrior. He began and ended every day of his life with prayer and devotion with God. Brent loved God above all else, and held an unwavering faith in Him. He exuberated positivity and kindness, and wanted to show God’s love to everyone he met. His favorite Scripture was Philippians 4:11, “I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” This verse describes him perfectly; he was content in every situation he was in. Though he is no longer on earth physically, he has left a legacy that will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, Morristown with Rev. Don Lamb, Rev. Gary Kelly and Rev. Jeff Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City.
