Owls were the order of the day for Ms. Leanne Overton’s third grade class at Dandridge Elementary School. Local wildlife animal rehabilitator Lynne McCoy was the special guest of the day and she brought some feathered friends along, as well. The class just completed a unit on owls and they were excited to be able to get an up close and personal look at the wise bird. Lynne McCoy dedicates a huge amount of time and resources to the rehabilitation of wildlife in need and generously donates her time to provide students with the experience of seeing some of natures most fascinating creatures-bringing nature’s majesty and wonder to the kids.
