Eagles find victory on the road at Converse College

Haleigh Chastain (Knoxville, Tenn.) clinched a big win against Desiree Kittel and assisted Carson-Newman (2-3) in taking a 7-2 victory over Converse College (0-7) Wednesday.

In singles competition, Tiffany Delias (Morristown, Tenn.) triumphed over Samantha Sheffield with a 6-1, 6-2 conclusion in the no. 5 spot. Brooke Sanderson (Evans, Ga.) also performed well at no. 4 singles prevailing over Kasey Anderson in a 7-6, 6-2 decision.

Sanderson and Megan Wilson (Maryville, Tenn.) then teamed up for the doubles competition to defeat Sheffield and Klaire Rouse with an 8-2 final score.

The Eagles return home to open conference play against Anderson at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
