The Dandridge Planning Commission met for their Regular Monthly Meeting on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the Public Works Building in Dandridge.

The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman of the Commission Swann. Absent from Roll Call were Commissioners Franklin and Entwistle.

The Commission Approved the Minutes from the January 24, 2013 Regular Meeting and from the February 20, 2013 Special Called Meeting.

Under New Business, the Commission Approved a request from the Charlene Clabo Estate/Marjorie Stoffle and Rock Sutton for rezoning from A-1 to C-2 (inside the Urban Growth Boundary). The Property address is 438 W. Hwy 25-70, Map 67 and Parcel 74.06.

The Commission voted to Table the issue of a Proposed Ordinance Creating Regulations for the Preservation of Certain Properties on the National Registry of Historic Places and/or Structures within the H-1 District of the Town to be Afforded Protection from Neglect. Following discussion, Commissioners concluded that they needed more time to review the Ordinance before acting.

Under Old Business, the Commission heard from representatives of WODA, a development group proposing a low income tax credit housing development on Shrader Road, adjacent to the Field of Dreams and the Activity Center. During a Special Called Meeting, the Commission rescinded action previously taken on January 24, 2013 by denying use of the plan as developed. Following the approved motion to rescind in the prior Special Called Meeting, another motion to delay sending the rescinding to the State until after the next Regular Scheduled Meeting on February 28, 2013 was approved. After extended  discussion revisiting the issue, Commissioner Jones made a motion for Adjournment -2nd Commissioner Hasty and Passed with Commissioners Reneau and Whillock voting No.  The Meeting was Adjourned.
