INVITATION TO BID

The Jefferson County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids for one new 90-passenger and one new 66-passenger Front Engine Transit Type school buses, one new mini special needs school bus and one new Type C lift special needs school bus for the Jefferson County School System.  In addition, we will be accepting bids for up to three used 78-passenger Front Engine Transit Type School buses.  These buses must meet all DOT, Federal, and Tennessee specifications.  For specification detail, please contact Sherry Dotson, Transportation Supervisor, at 865-397-2139, option 2, Ext. 3.

Sealed bids should be labeled “JCS School Buses” and either dropped off or mailed to the attention of Darrell Helton, Finance Director, at 1244 Gay Street or PO Box 1749, Dandridge, TN  37725.  Bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at which time bids will be opened in the finance department conference room.
