Hamblen County Driver Services Center Will Close March 28, Relocate to New Facility on April 1

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security announced today that the Hamblen County Driver Services Center is relocating to a new facility in Morristown. The current driver services center, located at 1901 State St. in Morristown, will permanently close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27. The new center, located at 2567 Buffalo Trail, Morristown, will open for normal business hours at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 1. (All state offices are closed on Friday, March 29, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.)The Hamblen County Driver Service Center is a full service center.

For service on Thursday, March 28, the department suggests citizens visit the closest alternate locations:

  • Hamblen County Clerk’s Office – College Square Mall, 2550 E. Morris Blvd., Morristown (duplicates and renewals of non-commercial driver licenses only)
  • Cocke County Clerk’s Office – 111 Court Avenue, Room 101, Newport (duplicates and renewals of non-commercial driver licenses only)
  • Hancock County Clerk’s Office – 418 Harrison Street, Suite 98, Sneedville (duplicates and renewals of non-commercial driver licenses only)
  • Hawkins County Clerk’s Office – 110 East Main Street, #204, Rogersville (duplicates and renewals of non-commercial driver licenses only)
  • Jefferson County Clerks’ Office – 214 W. Main Street, Dandridge (duplicates and renewals of non-commercial driver licenses only)
