Carson-Newman spirit squads begin Junior Eagle Cheer Program, 3rd – 5th Grade Girls, April 25, 2013

Carson-Newman head cheerleading and dance coach Christy Bowlin has announced the start of the Junior Eagle Cheer Program. The program is a new cheerleading opportunity for third through fifth grade girls at C-N for the 2013-14 school year.

Bowlin will play host to an informational signup meeting April 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the MSAC three gym area.

The C-N cheer team will teach a “Cheer 101” class for all participants each Thursday afternoon August – October. Class time will be from 4 -5 p.m., with an open tumbling session 3:30-4 p.m. All participants will cheer between three and four home C-N football games.

The Junior Eagles will also showcase their newly learned skills with pregame performances, as well as participation in the homecoming parade and game day pep rallies. All participants along with one adult will be admitted to the game free. Additional tickets can be purchased through Bowlin or Doodle Johnson.

Cheer “101” Class $25 per month ($75 total)

Cheer Camp $50 commuter/$60 Overnight July 20-21
