INVITATION TO BID
The Jefferson County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids for blasting services at the highway quarry. Bids will be for one year (1) from July 1, 2013 until June 30th, 2014.
Blasting powder and materials for blasting approximately 3000 feet of six (6) inch holes. The Tennessee Blasting Law will be observed at all times. This will include the pounds per delay that are allowed to load according to the nearest dwelling to the shot that is not company owned. The pounds per delay allowance will be figured according to the formula contained in the Tennessee State Blasting Law. Equipment and personnel must meet the Department of Labor, Mine Safety, and Health Administration requirements. Bid should include a copy of your license and proof of insurance.

Sealed bids should be mailed to the Jefferson County Finance Department to the attention of Teresa Crusenberry, P.O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN 37725. Bids will be accepted until 2:00, Thursday, May 16th, 2013, at which time bids will be opened in the Finance Department Conference Room.
The Finance Director reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any and all irregularities in the receipt/handling and acceptance of bids.
