2013 Dumplin Valley Farm Concert Series Kicked Off With Smooth “Tennessee Weather”

The Dumplin Valley Farm Concert Series kicked off on Saturday evening. Local favorite band Grits gave the first performance of the six month series and the crowd braved the cool May evening to enjoy some great music down on the farm. Dumplin Valley Farm Concert Series is an annual event in Jefferson County and brings talent that is generally reserved for big ticket venues to the farm. Casual and family friendly, concert goers kicked back to the cool bluesy tunes while enjoying an evening under the stars. Even the youngest family members found a fun way to occupy their evening in the play yard contained in the fenced in venue. This is the earliest that the Dumplin Valley Concert Series has started and the windy, chilly evening did not deter the crowd. The next event will be on June 8th and will feature another local favorite, Lost Creek Band. Gates will open at 6:30 pm and the concert will begin at 7:30pm. The venue is located across the street from Mount Horeb Elementary School on Dumplin Valley Road.
