Legacy Theatre of Jefferson City is excited to present Zion Dance Company in the incredible production of “THE STORY” on June 8 at 7:30pm.

“THE STORY” is a dramatic presentation that journeys through both the Old and New Testaments. Through contemporary ballet and modern dance, as well as beautiful costumes, the audience will share in the experience of those who walked with God, received His anointing, and witnessed His death and resurrection.

Zion Dance Company was founded in 2012 by Kara Moss and MacKenzie Price Myers.

Kara began taking dance classes at the age of three, and dance has always been a large part of her life. Kara has been trained in ballet and pointe along with gymnastics, jazz and modern dance. In addition to her training at both local and international studios, Kara has attended Ballet Magnificat’s summer dance intensive. She has also been a guest teacher at both national and international worship arts conferences such as Worship in the Valley in Knoxville, Tennessee and Destiny in God Creative Arts Worship Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.

MacKenzie Price Myers has been dancing since the age of three. She has been trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Irish and enjoys the uniqueness of each style. MacKenzie is blessed to have a mother and father who not only encouraged her training, but who also encouraged her to use her gifting for just One.

Zion Dance Company members are comprised of studio directors and instructors and are a varied combination of ages, backgrounds, and experiences. Along with Kara and MacKenzie, ZDC members include Joshua Wayne Loveday, Ashlynn Mason, Mary Kate Jones, and Isaiah Recker. They find that their hearts are unified in vision and purpose in their expression of worship to the Lord. ZDC believes that “dance can be a form of communication to those around us regardless of the language we speak. Dance creates visual images that bring music and lyrics to life in a beautiful and emotional way to touch us in deep places that mere words alone could never reach. We have seen the impact that this art form can have on its audience, as people are drawn into the Lord’s presence and are forever changed.”
