The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce sponsored four $250 Youth Leadership Class scholarships! Congratulations to those students!

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for the 2026-2027 ADULT LEADERSHIP Jefferson County Class.

LEADERSHIP Jefferson County is a program of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. It was established in 1997 with its mission being to “develop leaders who will have a positive impact on the growth & development of Jefferson County”. Since then, the program has graduated over 200 distinguished alumni.

The class members accepted into the Leadership Jefferson County Program attend a series of fun and demanding activities requiring a commitment of one full day each month over a nine-month period. The classes, which are more like “experiences”, take place on location and cover a wide range of topics such as state and local government, education, healthcare, social services, agriculture, tourism, first responders, etc.

The course is just as much about connections as it is information, and the access provided to decision-makers in all facets of the community gives Leadership Jefferson County participants an inside view that isn’t available to everyone. While the “face time” spent with community leaders is valuable, many students find that the greatest benefit is the networking opportunity they have with their classmates.

The deadline for applications has been extended to June 15th but spaces are filling up quickly! If you have any questions, please contact Debbi Self, Leadership Specialist, at 865-397-9642 or dself@jeffersoncountytennessee.com

Many small businesses spend money on marketing without seeing the return they hoped for. In this workshop, learn how to create a clear marketing strategy that focuses your efforts, attracts the right customers, and ensures every marketing dollar works harder for your business.

Join us in the Library’s Conference Hall on Tuesday, July 28th at 9:30AM.

June is Men’s Health Month –

Men die an average 6 years earlier— often from preventable causes.

Closing the Lifespan Gender Gap starts with education, connection, & shared advocacy.

When men and their care partners have access to the right information & support, preventive care happens earlier & outcomes improve.

Men’s Health Month is a reminder that better lifespans are built together.
