Nominating Committee To Recommend Appointments For IDB
The Jefferson County Nominating Committee met on Monday, June 10, 2013 to consider recommendations for three committees that currently have open or expired positions. Nominating Committee Chairman Tucker and committee members vetted interested applicants for the AG Committee, the Library Board and the Industrial Development Board. After consideration, the Nominating Committee will recommend that citizens Stooksbury and Gass, as well as Commissioner Barreiro remain on the AG Committee for another term. Significant regional commitments associated with the Library Board position resulted in few able candidates. Debra Scarlett agreed to accept the recommendation of the Nominating Committee for the Library Board position. The Industrial Development Board will have two returning and two new recommendations for the four seats that are currently open or expired. Brad Jenkins and Daryle Keck will be recommended as returning members, while Jim Snodgrass and Craig Kisabeth will be the Committee’s new recommendations to complete the Industrial Development Board. All Committee recommendation will go before the Full Body for approval and there will be an opportunity for Commission Members to make nominations from the floor.
