Farmer’s Market is Strong and Growing in White Pine

The White Pine Farmer’s Market took place this past Friday evening. Vendors could be found selling a variety of wares including an assortment of fresh vegetables, plants, baked goods, and a selection of specialty items. This is the second year for the White Pine Farmer’s Market and it has grown from three vendors in its first year to eight vendors who all sell natural products grown locally in the county. The market serves as an opportunity for local farmers and producers to connect with the community, as well as providing the chance for the public to purchase natural products that are fresh and free of chemicals and pesticides. Farmer’s Market 2013 will take place every Friday evening from 3pm to 6pm in the large parking lot across from the First Methodist Church of White Pine and is open to the public.
