New Market VFD Summer Fest Packs In Locals
The New Market Community came out last weekend to support their local Fire Department and share time with their neighbors. Summerfest is an annual event that is highly anticipated every summer. Food, music, shopping and fellowship are in abundance for the two day festival, as well as a highly competitive car show. Locals tour the booths, eat and dance the evening away, all to raise funds for the volunteer department. Summerfest 2013 was the 9th year that residents have gathered to have a few days of fun and entertainment, while supporting one of their favorite philanthropies. Volunteers with the Fire Department, their families and friends staff the event every year and the proceeds go to fund the needs of the New Market Volunteer Fire Department as they protect and serve the citizens.
