Braids Back In Fashion

Hello Darlings,  this rainy weather , constant rain has created such a problem for keeping one’s hair in tip top style. It is either too frizzy or too lacking curl depending on the type of hair.   The latest fashion in hair  styles has been a rainy day safety net for frizzy, limp or flat hair due to the weather.

Braids are back in fashion and  have saved the day for me while the soggy climate continues.  So many different styles are pretty and romantic with braided hair. French braids are so elegant, hair braided into a bun or twist is elegant, a long braid hanging down the back is so pretty, especially if done with the fishtail braid.  The fishtail braid looks so elaborate and time consuming.  But it is easy  to do, especially for rushed rainy mornings.  If you have long hair,  here is how to do it.

Divide hair into two sections, parting straight down the middle with a comb,  if you prefer a tousled look part it with your hands.  Pull a thin strip of hair  from the right side and pull it over  the right section of hair and under the left.  Do the same thing with the left , thin strip of hair pulled over the section and under the right section.   Keep pulling strands from the right and left weaving over and under  until the two section are one beautiful fishtail braid.

This is also a romantic style for a wedding or formal event with flowers or  jewels styled in the braid.  Weaving in a string of pearls or ribbon is so sweet and feminine.  Braiding the hair in  a long section and coiling it around to form a crown style is also very fashion savvy.  Creating one long braid on one side of the face, leaving the rest of hair down is a great look or pull hair up from both sides and style into a simple braid that hangs down hangs down from the middle of the back of the head, with rest of hair down.   This is easy and chic.

So many beautiful styles with braids are being shown, one in particular is stunning.   The hair is style into rosette braids that nestle closely above the fishtail braids from both sides of the head and continue down the back .

Hair pieces can be used for braiding , if one’s hair is short and there is no end to creating various styles with different types of braids.  Just know, a braid in one’s hair will be an example of the current fashion.
