Local Jefferson County Teens To Benefit From $4,500 In Grants To The Boys & Girls Clubs Of Dumplin Valley Provided By The Taco Bell Foundation

Taco Bell Boys and Girls Club 07142013More than 25 local teens from The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley will benefit from a $4,500 grant awarded by the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens. The funds will support a Junior Staff program at the Clubs. Participants will learn responsibility by assisting BGC staff with daily tasks, attending classes preparing them for academic and professional success, and touring 6 regional colleges. At the end of the summer, the teens will be rewarded with a trip to our nation’s capitol, Washington D.C. The programming is intended to enable and inspire teens to graduate high school and reach their full potential.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley is one of more than 300 teen-serving organizations nationwide to receive a portion of $3 million granted by the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens this year.
