ASES efforts to incorporate tablet computers in the classroom have been acknowledged and rewarded this year with a small grant from the Jane L. Pettway Foundation. This Foundation was established by a former East Tennessee librarian and parishioner of St. John’s Cathedral, Knoxville. The Episcopal School of Knoxville (ESK) has also received funds from the Pettway Foundation to support their technology-in-the-classroom initiatives.

Thanks to its success, last year’s iPad Pilot Program, also funded by a grant from the Pettway Foundation and a gift from Mahle, Inc., will now become a full-fledged part of the ASES curriculum! The new grant monies will be spent on additional iPads and accessories to enhance their classroom use.
