Schedules at JCHS
I have a child that will be attending Jefferson Count High School and am confused about the conflicting information that I have been hearing surrounding the start of school and classes. Do you have any accurate information?
Certainly, much information has been traveling trough the County rumor mill regarding the situation at Jefferson County High School-with varying degrees of accuracy. As late as last week, schools were slotted to begin on time. The Department of Education originally planned to move classes in Building 8 to the mat and weight rooms, with 2 teachers roving. The current plan is that teachers will rove to accommodate the Building 8 classes and that the DOE is looking for shop space for those that need hands on training. Should there be a change in the schedule, the Post will pass that information along to readers. Principals are already back at work, teachers will begin next week and students will have their first full day on August 8th.
