Firefighters Helping “Fill The Boot” for MDA

The Jefferson City Fire Department was busy Saturday morning encouraging shoppers at Walmart to Fill the Boot. The Fill the Boot program is just one of the many ways that local Fire Departments give back to the community and the Jefferson City Department has been active in the program for several years. The proceeds from their efforts will go to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Fill the Boot campaign offers local departments a way to raise funds for their philanthropy and affords the public the opportunity to have face time with the men and women that are an integral part of keeping the community safe. As in years past, Saturday’s Fill the Boot drive for MDA was a great success and spotlights the generosity of the Fire Department and the community.
