Jefferson County Athletes Ready for Winning Seasons – Meet The Patriots This Saturday

Though students are just starting to get into the swing of the new school year, Jefferson County High School Fall athletes are already in hot pursuit of a winning season. Golfers were hitting the links well before the first school buses were gassing up for the year and soccer has already seen their opening game. The Boys of Fall have been making the scrimmage rounds and putting in pre season hours to hone their game and long distance runners spent the summer conditioning for their season. Fall is generally considered Football Time in Jefferson County but the Lady Patriots are represented strongly this fall in both volleyball and soccer. Meet the Patriots, an annual event that is designed to showcase younger talent in the County and introduce JCHS Fall Athletes, will take place on Saturday at Jefferson County High School’s Shannon Field. Local Middle School teams will take the field at 9:30 am and the play will continue until around 4pm. JCHS Fall Athletes will be introduced at 11am and then scrimmages will continue through the afternoon. The public is invited and encouraged to come out and meet the Patriots and Lady Patriots of fall at Jefferson County High School, as well as view some great young, up and coming talent in the County.
