The Point Marina presents “Shakin The Lake” Fireworks Show & Live Music This Friday & Saturday

Douglas Lake appears tranquil and calm, largely due to the start of school and end of weekday lake fun, as vacations come to an end. That will not be the case this week end, however, as The Point Marina presents Shakin’ the Lake. The weekend event will kick off Friday night with a special music presentation as Hillbilly Outlaws jump start the weekend celebration. Saturday will find a multitude of activities for families, including a huge water slide and bouncy house, as well as other child friendly activities from 12:30 until 7:30. Grits will be on stage starting in the early evening and special guest MC for the event will be Jefferson County’s own Phil Williams. The spotlight event of the week end, the fireworks show, will begin at 10 p.m. and the sky and lake will light up with the County’s most anticipated pyrotechnic show. Food will be available for purchase, as will drinks and there will be a cover fee for event parking. Come early and come ready to have fun, by land or by water. Shakin’ the Lake is a great way to send off the Summer of 2013 with a bang!
