Last Thursday was the final scrimmage of the season, and the Lady Patriots played against the Berean Christian Eagles. With the final score of 14-1, the Lady Patriots dominated the field. Lady Patriots were hot off the mark and quickly put two points on the board. The rest of the first half was a domination match with the Lady Patriots’ relentless offense not giving the Eagles a chance for a goal. The first half was not over until the Lady Patriots added six more goals to their lead, ending the first half 8-0. In the second half the Eagles came back with their first goal late in the second half but just couldn’t stem the Patriot scoring machine, as the Lady Patriots added five goals to their tally. The Eagles did manage to lower the fast scoring pace that dominated the first half of play, though the Patriot goals kept adding up, albeit a slower pace, do to the revived defense of the Lady Eagles. Lady Patriots didn’t let up on their opponent and continued the high level of game play through the final minutes of the match. The first game of the official season is on August 20th at Gatlinburg-Pittman.
