C YCLONE COLOR STORM 5 K set for Saturday, September 14th to benefit White Pine School PTO

It’s not too late to register for the 4^rd Annual White Pine School 5K Run/Walk and Kid’s Fun Run sponsored by the White Pine School PTO will be held on Saturday, September 14^th at 9 a.m.

The 5K (3.1 mile) run will begin at the White Pine School at 9 a.m. and consists of a generally flat out and back keyhole course, with some slight hills. There will be three COLOR stations so come ready to have some fun. The event also includes a one mile Kid’s Color Fun Run to be held at the school’s walking track beginning at 10:30 a.m. Runners and walkers alike are encouraged to participate.

Cyclone Color Storm 5K participants may register by going to http://www.ktc.org and download the registration form. The 5K registration fee for adults (ages 12 and up) is $25, and the fee for kids (age 11 and under) is $15.

The Kid’s Color Fun Run entry fee is $15 (including t-shirt), or $10 without a t-shirt. Each child will receive goody bag at the finish line. All kids 10 and under are invited to attend.

Participants may also register the day of the race for the Cyclone Color Storm or Color Fun Run between 7:30-8:30 a.m. T-shirts will be available while supplies last. Runners are encouraged to wear their own white t-shirts on race day or purchase a white shirt with the race logo for $10 the day of the race, while supplies last.

For safety precautions, the streets of White Pine to be used in this event will be closed to vehicles for the duration of the run/walk. Cash prizes will be given to the top male and female finishers. 1^st prize $100, 2^nd prize $75 and 3^rd prize $25. Awards will also be given to the top three finishers in each age group.
