Access-Life EXPO at The Point Marina

The Access-Life EXPO, an annual event that encourages people living with disabilities and their families to meet and develop relationships with the Christian community, was held at The Point Marina in Dandridge on Sunday afternoon. Around six hundred participants were pre registered for the outdoor event and there were several dozen others that registered the day of the event. Local volunteers were on hand to assist with fishing, archery, boating, kayaking, crafts and other activities.  The Access-Life Christian Ministry was founded in 2010 by Doug and Leanne Goddard, who have deep roots in Jefferson County. Doug is a native of Jefferson County and he and Leanne spend a great deal of time in the area visiting family and friends. The Goddards reside in Florida, where they are active in the day to day functions of the ministry. Access-Life Ministry has become a highly anticipated event in the area, for both participants and volunteers, and brings a wonderful sense of community to all involved.
