FAST Program Provides First Aid to Fans in Need

The American Red Cross is reminding fans to stay hydrated as they come out Saturday to cheer on the Tennessee Volunteers.

At kickoff, temperatures are expected to be well into the 80’s and could climb even higher.

During last week’s game against Austin Peay, Red Cross First Aid Station Team (FAST) volunteers treated 61 people for various health issues including dehydration. Dozens of others were given water, a towel, or first aid supplies.

First Aid volunteers will be standing by again on Saturday to provide first aid to anyone in need and to contact emergency officials if necessary.

FAST is a program of the American Red Cross East Tennessee Region and provides First Aid services onsite. Our volunteer leaders are trained to be liaisons between event staff and first responders.
