Thinking about becoming a Beekeeper?

With all of the discussion about the health of bees taking place currently, there is no better time to get to know your Jefferson County Beekeepers Association. The Association meets the first Tuesday of each month at the UT Extension office in Dandridge, TN.  The meetings are from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Each meeting covers relevant and helpful information for a novice or professional. Even if you do not plan to keep hives yourself, you can learn a lot from the group. Tuesday night’s discussion entailed how to prepare your bee hives for winter.
