JCHS Lady Patriots Shut Out Cocke County Lady Reds 8-0

The Leroy Shannon Field was alive with action this week as the Lady Patriots hosted a soccer game against Cocke County’s Lady Reds. The Lady Patriots struck hard and fast to score the first goal, and their opening moves set the tone for the first half of play. Cocke County struggled to keep up with the Lady Patriots as they scored goal after goal in the first half. The opening half was all Lady Patriots as they posted a 4-0 score over the neighboring county rivals. In the second half, the Cocke County tried to pick up their offensive game, giving the Lady Patriots a little defensive run, but it was not enough, as the Lady Patriots scored four more goals. Excellent teamwork by the Lady Patriots was more than the Lady Reds could handle, and they shut out Cocke County with score of eight to zero.  The next game will be away at Science Hill this Thursday, September 12^th, followed by a home game on September 17^th, when the Lady Patriots take on Morristown West Lady Trojans.
