Jefferson County Nominating Committee Selects Recommendations For Vote

The meeting of the Jefferson County Nominating Committee was called to order on September 9, 2013 in the Jury Room of the Historic Courthouse located in Dandridge, TN.  Present were Committee Members Solomon, Estes, Turner, Sheets, Kesterson and Chairman Tucker.  The current agenda without corrections was approved withstanding an adjustment of items 12 & 13 switched in order respectively.  Approval of minutes dating June 10, 2013 and July 18, 2013 were also approved.  No citizens were present for comments.  Accepted by consent Committee member Estes was elected as Secretary for the new term.

Items appearing on the agenda for action were, Animal Control Oversight Board, Building Inspection Board of Appeals, Conservation Board, Industrial Development Board and Finance Committee.  After proper nominations and motions, the committee seats were nominated as follows and will be presented to the County Commission at the next voting meeting:

Animal Control Oversight

Jeanne Ringa, Shirley Hammond

Building Inspection Board of Appeals

Jimmy Carmichael, Kenny Carr, Paul Tucker, Clayton Minchu, Edward Collins

Conservation Board

Action tabled until October 2013 meeting.

Industrial Development Board

Don Cason, Alex Miller, Danny Shelton

Finance Committee

Jack Akard, Roger Griffith, Daniel Estes, Ginger Franklin

No other action being considered, the Committee was adjourned.
