It takes a great deal of time and effort to organize an event like Old Time Saturday and a group of dedicated volunteers gathered last week to make plans for the first Saturday in October event. Director Nancy Tullock and a crew of more than a dozen people met at the dance studio on Main Street in Jefferson City to discuss everything from music and vendors to tractor and stages. The annual event is free to the public and always well attended by the community. This year’s attractions will include a variety of music and dancing, antique cars, a tractor show and a plethora of arts and crafts. Of course, there will be great food and games for children, as well as a blood pressure check for adults. The community is invited to come out and celebrate fall in Jefferson City at Old Time Saturday. Mark the calendar for the first Saturday in October and be prepared to have some old fashioned fun.
